What are your store hours?

Where are you located?
Our store is located at 1130 N. Schmeer Road, Portland, OR 97217 in Delta Park, across
from Portland Meadows.
Do you offer Delivery and Pickup?
Yes, we offer delivery and pick up of equipment for an additional fee. Rates are based on the
equipment rented and the distance traveled. It is always preferable to receive
ample notice, but we work with our clients to provide superior customer service
and make every attempt to deliver equipment as soon as possible.
Do you offer corporate charge accounts?
Yes, we do. Once you have established a working
relationship with Interstate Rentals you may apply for a corporate charge
account by downloading and completing the Credit Application Form. Our staff
will work with you on setting up guidelines and cycles for your specific
account. For more detailed information please speak with our office.
When do I need to show proof of Insurance, and how do I get this Insurance?
On selected large rental items (a Dump Truck for example), we may require the
renter to show proof of insurance coverage before the equipment is rented. You
can usually get this information from your business, home, or auto insurance provider.
What if my equipment breaks down at the job site?
We maintain equipment in top working order and never knowingly rent a piece of equipment
that is not working properly. If you have any problems with our rental equipment
please call our office. Many problems, especially starting equipment, can be
resolved easily on the phone. In the case where the equipment is deemed
non-operational you may return the equipment and we will exchange if for another
machine and restart your rental time period.
What types of policies apply to rental equipment?
We do have a set of store policies that you can review before renting
equipment, but being a small, independently owned firm allows us to provide some
flexibility to our customers. See Rental Policies.
Can I rent equipment for the entire month?
Yes you can. We rent equipment by a minimum time period,
the day, the week or the month.
How are your Rental Rates figured?
The rental rate that you see is what you pay, excluding the optional 10% Equipment
Protection Plan, also known as Damage Waiver and fuel charges. We do charge tax
on equipment delivered to our neighbors in the state of Washington. All
equipment with hour meters have rental rates that include 8 hours of running
time in a 24-hour period. Any meter time over the 8 hours will be charged accordingly.
1 Day Rental = 24 hours with equipment and includes 8 hours of running time
7 Day Rental = 7 days with equipment and includes 40 hours of running time
4 Week Rental = 28 days with equipment and includes 160 hours of running time
What if I am not able to return the equipment by
5:00pm?
A standard 4-hour rental that was checked out at 1:00pm should be returned by
5:00pm. If unable to return rentals to store before closing time, return next
morning at opening time. Remember that rent is charged for all time out, not
time used. In order to receive the best value for your money, return all rentals
on or before the date and time due in on your rental contract.
Do you offer Special Rental Rates?
Yes we do.
Equipment rented out on Monday through Friday after 4:00pm and returned by
9:00am the following morning will be charged the 4 hour rate.
Equipment rented out Saturday before 1:00pm and returned the
following Monday by 9:00am will be charged 1.33 of the day rate.
Equipment rented out Saturday after 1:00pm and returned the following Monday by 9:00am
will be charged the one day rate.
What if I rent equipment the day before a holiday?
We do have designated holidays throughout the year when our store
will be closed. If you rent equipment that should have been returned on a
holiday you may return the equipment the next day we are open. Please call for
the holiday rates.
When are Deposits needed?
Deposits are required when the equipment is rented, and are refunded when equipment
is returned in good working condition.
What will I need when I come to rent equipment?
In order to rent equipment you will need a valid Driver License and a form of
deposit. Your deposit can be made with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American
Express or substantial cash. We do not accept checks for deposit.
How is payment made on the rental equipment?
Payment is required at the time rental
item is picked up. Payment or Deposit by credit card or cash is required on all
rentals with a deposit equal to or exceeding estimated rental charges (excluding
open account customers). Some equipment requires credit card deposit only. We
accept Cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express.
Can I reserve the equipment in advance?
We are happy to reserve any available item, just
give us a call. We able to hold a reservation until 9:00am on Saturdays. After
9:00am on Saturdays; reservation are rented on a first come, first served basis.
Do I need to clean the equipment upon return?
All equipment is sent out clean and ready to use.
Equipment should be returned in the same manner
received. A cleaning charge can be charged if equipment is returned unready to rent.
Do I need to replace the gas in my equipment before returning it?
Smaller equipment (pumps, pressure washers, yard equipment, for example)
requiring fuel have a fuel charge already assessed for estimated fuel usage.
For larger equipment requiring more than 1 gallon of fuel, we recommend that
you replace fuel used, else we will charge $5.00 to $7.00 per gallon replacement
of gas or diesel used.
